A stolen glance
Across the room;
Eyes that dance
To a lover’s tune.
Smiles and talk
Lead to kisses and caresses;
Long lingering hugs,
Discarded dresses.
***
Over in one night,
Like the bloom of the Casablanca Lily;
Fading away as the sun rises over the mountains.
The lovers part, as if they had never met…
A change of the old adage One Night Stand to “One Stolen Glance” and a beautiful flower picture too……
Thank you, Sir…
It seems a little less sleazy than a “one night stand”; or, so she hopes.
Always,
Me
Great piece, definitely not flat!!
Thank you, Sir.

I’d snip a few syllables in the first half. There is a tension between poetry and lovely prose. Lovely picture to complement compelling words. Thank you for this.
Thank you, Sir. I appreciate your review.

I’m not sure what other people are reading. I think this is beautiful and elegant, and is written perfectly.
Thank you, Sir. I appreciate your response.
